This opportunity is presented for a partner organization that handles the application review and next stages. The hiring company is seeking an experienced QA Team Lead in Germany to guide quality assurance efforts across complex product initiatives.
The role is suited to a seasoned QA professional who enjoys combining technical depth with team leadership. You will shape testing strategy, improve QA processes, support product reliability and compliance, and help a growing team deliver high-quality software. The position offers the chance to influence testing standards, automation practices, and quality culture while working closely with product, development, and operations stakeholders.
What you will do
- Direct QA work across several projects, making sure testing is planned, executed, and delivered effectively.
- Build and roll out QA strategies, standards, and better ways of working across the organization.
- Assign work, balance workloads, and keep the team aligned with delivery schedules.
- Carry out functional, regression, acceptance, integration, and cross-platform testing.
- Oversee validation of system integrations, APIs, live data connections, and data movement.
- Review test outcomes, defect patterns, and root causes to uncover improvement opportunities.
- Define and monitor QA metrics that show team performance and product quality.
- Promote and improve test automation frameworks and related practices.
- Support release activities, including deployment checks and post-release observation.
- Prepare and maintain test documents, working guidelines, and quality standards.
- Help hire QA talent, take part in interviews, onboard new joiners, and support development through coaching and performance reviews.
- Work with cross-functional teams to keep quality goals aligned with business priorities.
What is needed
- At least 2 years of experience in a QA Team Lead role or a similar leadership position.
- Strong grasp of quality assurance practices across the full software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
- Good understanding of client-server systems, web technologies, and API testing.
- Experience with version control tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or comparable systems.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern software release practices.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Comfort using SQL and database validation methods.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, especially for process improvement.
- Background in mentoring, coaching, and managing QA professionals.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to perform well in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Experience with performance testing, regulatory/compliance testing, or regulated industries is an advantage.
- Exposure to gaming platforms, game mechanics, or other complex digital products is a plus.
