Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to steer the Quality Assurance team towards delivering exceptional software products. This leadership role centers on defining and executing test automation strategies, while also overseeing manual testing activities essential to ensure software quality. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership abilities with in-depth expertise in QA methods and hands-on experience in automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement company-wide QA strategies, standards, and best practices across multiple projects.
- Lead, manage, and mentor QA engineers to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to synchronize QA processes with organizational objectives.
- Architect and maintain robust automation frameworks targeting web, API, and mobile platforms.
- Enhance automation test coverage for regression, smoke, and performance testing.
- Integrate automated tests seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous software delivery.
- Oversee comprehensive test planning, execution, and detailed reporting of functional, integration, and system tests.
- Ensure effective defect tracking and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Define and track quality and team performance metrics, including KPIs.
- Engage hands-on with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, JMeter, and API testing utilities like Postman and Rest Assured.
- Utilize CI/CD platforms including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Leverage knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) where applicable.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in QA, with at least 3 years in leadership positions.
- Proven skills in developing and managing test automation frameworks and scripting using languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Strong familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Exceptional communication capabilities and stakeholder management experience.
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with Shift-Left Testing approaches, encouraging early QA involvement in the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing techniques.
- Exposure to AI-driven testing technologies and automation acceleration tools.
