Job Overview
We are seeking a Purchase Executive specializing in CAPEX and Revenue Items to manage procurement processes effectively in a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment located in Chorasi, Gujarat. This role demands a proactive team player with strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills to handle service-related transactions and procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end ordering process considering vendor capabilities, capacity, and strategic factors.
- Manage CAPEX and revenue item transactions with precision and accountability.
- Collaborate efficiently with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain smooth procurement flows.
- Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) including all technical documents from design, quality, and user departments to suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier offers and prepare comprehensive comparative statements.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to optimize cost and terms.
- Obtain necessary approvals and release Purchase Orders following the approval matrix.
- Coordinate follow-ups with suppliers post-order release and ensure timely material delivery after quality and user clearance at the factory.
- Maintain liaison between suppliers and internal users to streamline communications and resolve queries.
- Track all Purchase Requisitions systematically for procurement planning.
- Address invoice discrepancies and prepare documentation for timely payment release.
- Maintain strong knowledge of taxation, labor laws, and related compliance requirements.
- Use SAP modules extensively, particularly Materials Management (MM) and Finance, to support procurement and financial tracking.
- Apply technical expertise on systems and ISO/IMS standards to ensure quality and process compliance.
- Employ strategic approaches, including value engineering and negotiations, to meet cost reduction goals.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in service-related procurement transactions, preferably within manufacturing, heavy engineering, or power sectors.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities to coordinate and motivate teams effectively.
- Hands-on experience with SAP MM and Finance modules.
- In-depth understanding of taxation, labor laws, and ISO/IMS systems.
