Job description
About the Property
The Watson - Art Series is set in Walkerville, a leafy Adelaide suburb just a short distance from the Adelaide CBD. The hotel features Watson artwork and prints throughout, along with suites and apartments, a pool, and private meeting spaces. It is also around 30 minutes from the Barossa Valley and close to shopping, cafes, and festival experiences.
Role Purpose
This position sits within the housekeeping team and focuses on maintaining immaculate shared spaces. The role calls for someone who is comfortable working alone as well as with others, and who enjoys assisting guests with questions or requests.
Key Duties
- Keep the property looking polished and well presented at all times, both inside and outside.
- Clean and refresh public zones such as the pool area, gym, and shared washrooms to a consistently high standard.
- Use cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals correctly and safely.
- Support guests with enquiries and security-related concerns, while coordinating with other departments as needed.
- Act as an early reporter for maintenance, service, or security issues, including faulty equipment, damage, or missing items.
Experience and Working Style
Prior experience in a comparable cleaning, room attendant, or public area attendant position is an advantage. The ideal candidate communicates in a friendly, reassuring manner, works efficiently, pays close attention to detail, and manages time well. The job also requires flexibility to work indoors and outdoors, including stairs and uncovered spaces, along with the physical fitness needed for active work.
Availability
Reliable transport is required, and the role needs availability across rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Preference will be given to candidates who can work Thursday through Sunday.
