Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and driven Proposal Engineer specializing in Mechanical Bought Out components within the Water industry. This role involves collaborating closely with vendors to acquire quotations, critically assessing these quotations, and devising competitive bids. The ideal applicant should possess robust technical expertise in Mechanical Bought Outs and Packages, along with excellent communication abilities and aptitude to operate effectively under stringent deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate requests and follow up rigorously to gather quotations and offers from various vendors.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of vendor proposals to verify technical compliance and commercial conditions in line with project demands.
- Systematically maintain documentation related to vendor correspondence, quotations, and comparative analyses.
- Collaborate intensively with vendors, proposal teams, and engineering departments to ensure all technical and financial considerations are comprehensively addressed.
- Manage timelines effectively to guarantee vendor offers are received promptly to align with bidding schedules.
- Continuously monitor vendor capabilities, pricing trends, and prevailing industry standards.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
- Holds between 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Has a strong grasp of technical specifications related to mechanical components.
- Is proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experienced with SAP systems.
- Exemplifies superior negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Is capable of working independently and juggling multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrates prior experience specifically in the water industry.
