Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager in Business Improvement to spearhead strategic initiatives enhancing business processes across our global company. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Improvement, your role involves overseeing projects from inception to completion, while reinforcing project management excellence via governance frameworks, coaching, and supervision. Collaboration with business units, IT teams, and external vendors is key to ensure disciplined execution and tangible business benefits.
Primary Duties
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of business improvement projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and deliverables.
- Develop and uphold project governance standards and PMO protocols across all projects.
- Perform project status evaluations and supervise projects handled by others to maintain uniform delivery quality.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to project teams on methodologies, governance procedures, and best practices.
- Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders from business, IT, and external organizations to promote teamwork and accountability.
- Manage project risks, issues, interdependencies, and control changes effectively.
- Track project benefits realization and facilitate post-implementation assessments to confirm achievement of expected outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a closely related field.
- Preferably hold certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent. Agile certification is considered advantageous.
- Have between eight to twelve years of experience managing complex projects spanning multiple functions.
- Experience working within a PMO or operating in a structured project governance setting is essential.
- Proven ability to coach or mentor project managers or project teams effectively.
- Strong competencies in project planning, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and project delivery.
- Capable of influencing cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities complementing a disciplined execution style.
