About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager to lead the Albury to Illabo (A2I) rail infrastructure project, one of Australia's largest freight rail developments. This fixed-term contract runs until December 2027 and follows a 10 days on, 4 days off FIFO/DIDO roster based in Wagga Wagga.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safe and efficient delivery of major rail infrastructure construction works.
  • Ensure project objectives across scope, schedule, budget, quality, environmental, and safety standards are met.
  • Manage and coordinate contractors to resolve construction and engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and project teams to deliver practical and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Engage stakeholders including contractors, consultants, government agencies, and communities.
  • Monitor risks, track progress and milestones, and report with recommendations to leadership.
  • Support complex rail works delivery while maintaining operational readiness and stakeholder trust.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise in major infrastructure, construction, or rail projects.
  • Strong knowledge of rail environments, possession planning, and intricate construction delivery.
  • Experience overseeing contractors, managing budgets, assessing risks, and building stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership and commercial skills suited to a dynamic project setting.
  • Eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
  • Holds a current Class C Driver’s Licence.
