Project Management Office (PMO) / Senior Project Manager – GIS

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Project Manager/PMO professional with significant experience in Enterprise GIS, ESRI technology stacks, and executing large-scale GIS projects. The role is based in Qatar and involves comprehensive project oversight to deliver solutions on schedule, scope, and budget.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead complete lifecycle management and delivery of Enterprise GIS initiatives.
• Create and control project timelines, resource allocation, and financial plans.
• Facilitate collaboration between GIS technical teams, business partners, and external vendors.
• Identify, monitor, and resolve project risks, challenges, and dependencies.
• Organize regular status updates and executive-level presentations.
• Maintain project governance standards, ensuring quality assurance and on-time completion.
• Manage communication channels with clients and align stakeholder expectations.
• Supervise GIS-specific tasks such as data migrations, conversions, and system implementations.
• Track key performance indicators and generate comprehensive management reports.
• Champion change management initiatives and implement PMO best practice methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, GIS, Geomatics, IT, or similar field.
• MUST hold PMP certification.
• Agile certification is advantageous.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project management roles.

Professional Experience

• Proven history of leading Enterprise GIS project deliveries.
• Experience interfacing directly with clients as a Project Manager.
• Familiarity with clients in the Middle East region is strongly preferred.
• Background in sectors such as Public Works, Utilities, Infrastructure, or Government projects is a plus.
