About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Lead with deep legal expertise to manage a prominent initiative involving the creation and implementation of legal frameworks for emerging technologies. This position is fully remote, allowing the candidate to work from any location. The role offers a full-time engagement with a competitive annual compensation package ranging from $400,000 to $550,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive legal strategies that align with project objectives and comply with applicable regulations.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams to ensure all product development stages meet legal and regulatory standards.
- Lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks relating to technology advancements.
- Prepare, analyze, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and policies safeguarding organizational interests.
- Advise stakeholders on critical legal matters including intellectual property rights, data privacy laws, and contractual duties.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- At least seven years of legal practice experience, with a minimum of three years serving in a leadership capacity on projects.
- In-depth knowledge of technology law areas such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI legislation.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex legal documentation.
- Capability to interpret legal jargon into practical strategies understandable to non-legal team members.
- Outstanding analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and communication abilities.
- Experienced user of legal research platforms and compliance management systems.
