Project Engineer - Hospitality Renovation (Travel Required)

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily operational aspects of renovation projects.
• Manage and monitor Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and related project documentation.
• Coordinate schedules and communications with subcontractors, suppliers, and oversee material deliveries.
• Help create and update project schedules and contribute to progress reports.
• Track procurement activities, change orders, and significant project milestones.
• Support renovations in occupied hotels with minimal disturbance to guests.
• Maintain thorough project records using software tools such as Procore and Bluebeam.
• Assist in compiling punch lists, handling closeout documents, and ensuring smooth project turnover.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in construction, or a relevant degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar.
• Exceptional communication and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Readiness to travel throughout the United States as projects require.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on completing tasks precisely.
• Experience in commercial construction projects.
• Previous involvement in hospitality renovation projects is essential.
• Familiarity with construction software: Procore and Bluebeam.
• Competence in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
