About the Role
We are collaborating with a prominent EPC contractor seeking an experienced Project Director to spearhead the execution of substantial semiconductor manufacturing projects. This role involves overseeing a complex, multi-billion-dollar cutting-edge technology facility, guiding multidisciplinary teams from project initiation through to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of large-scale EPC and design-build semiconductor projects from proposal stages through to completion.
- Deliver leadership over project scope, budgeting, scheduling, quality standards, safety protocols, and overall commercial success.
- Manage diverse project teams including Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, Project Controls, Procurement staff, and subcontractors.
- Serve as the principal executive liaison for clients, consultants, and vital project stakeholders.
- Drive financial performance by managing forecasting, cost control, change management, risk mitigation, and project profitability.
- Contribute to business development by supporting proposals, executing strategies, reviewing constructability, and participating in client presentations.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, company policies, and best industry practices.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project turnover activities for timely and successful delivery.
- Foster a culture emphasizing safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence within the project team.
- Mentor project leaders and promote a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years leading industrial EPC or design-build construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years in senior project leadership overseeing large capital construction initiatives.
- Proven track record managing semiconductor manufacturing or other advanced technology projects.
- Experience managing full project lifecycles for projects valued at $1 billion or more.
- Background working with General Contractors or EPC organizations.
- Strong commercial skills including budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, change order management, and risk management.
- Expertise leading cross-functional teams encompassing engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a relevant field preferred.
- OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, client engagement, and organizational abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with semiconductor fabrication facilities (fabs).
- Background in cleanroom or advanced manufacturing construction environments.
- Strong familiarity with Design-Build and EPC delivery methods.
- Handling large-scale industrial capital projects.
- Managing complex stakeholder and client relationships.
