Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Project Coordinator to facilitate the execution of the Field Support Services Project (FSSP) in Ghana. This role involves coordinating project activities, managing communication across various stakeholders, supporting logistic arrangements, overseeing deliverables, and ensuring tasks are completed on time. The Coordinator will be integral in maintaining project documentation and fostering collaboration between the Project Manager, technical experts, government partners, and donors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and update project files, schedules, correspondence, task trackers, and reports both electronically and physically.
  • Assist in planning, prioritizing, and managing project deliverables, requirements, and documentation.
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive summaries, reports, and presentations relevant to project activities.
  • Liaise effectively with government officials, international donors, NGOs, consultants, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage logistical support including travel planning, transportation, accommodations, meetings, and workshops.
  • Coordinate and record outcomes of project meetings, reviews, workshops, and ensure follow-up actions are tracked.
  • Lead project review sessions and lessons-learned processes, sharing findings with the team and clients.
  • Work closely with technical specialists and project staff to monitor task progress and timely accomplishment of deliverables.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project reports and client documentation.
  • Identify and address challenges to implementation, proposing actionable solutions.
  • Facilitate efficient communication among all project stakeholders at country and regional levels.
  • Perform additional project-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in political sciences, law, international development, economics, finance, business administration, project management, social sciences, engineering, applied sciences or related fields from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum four years of experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role, preferably supporting international development projects.
  • Track record of coordinating at least two international development projects undertaken over the last six years.
  • Experience working on projects with budgets exceeding CAD 2 million and durations of two years or more.
  • Proven experience managing coordination tasks as described above.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in Ghana or similar developing country environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with diverse international development stakeholders such as government agencies, donors, NGOs, multilateral organizations, private sector, and community groups.
  • Background in sectors including economic growth, agriculture, gender equality, environment, infrastructure, governance, health, or social development is an advantage.
  • Strong English language proficiency, both written and verbal; knowledge of Ghanaian local languages is a plus.
