About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to collaborate closely with the Project Manager in delivering commercial construction projects successfully. This position demands excellent organizational, communication, and coordination abilities to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and meet client expectations. The candidate will also play a crucial role in design coordination, material selection, and facilitating cooperation among clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager with planning, organizing, and executing commercial construction projects.
- Oversee communication and coordination of project deliverables among clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Monitor project timelines, important milestones, budgets, and essential deliverables.
- Coordinate selection of materials, finishes, fixtures, and equipment with clients and involved project parties.
- Support procurement activities, review shop drawings, and handle project documentation.
- Keep precise records of projects, including meeting notes and progress reports.
- Identify project issues and contribute to effective problem-solving to maintain momentum.
- Foster strong interdepartmental relationships to ensure the smooth progression of projects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Required experience in the construction industry.
- Prior roles as a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or equivalent in construction management.
- Preferred experience in commercial construction and renovation projects.
- Valuable experience in interior design, architecture, or coordinating design efforts.
- Skilled in selecting and coordinating finishes, fixtures, materials, and furnishings for commercial projects.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Adept at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management software tools.
- Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation is advantageous.
