Job description
Job purpose
This position helps drive the Centre’s efforts to improve pandemic preparedness across the region. It focuses on carrying out programmes, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting communications so activities run smoothly and partnerships remain active.
Programme support and stakeholder coordination
- Support the rollout of the Centre’s programmes, activities, and strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with different groups involved in the Centre, including regional partners, the CoEPP Taskforce, and volunteer workgroups, to keep communication clear and ensure action items are completed on time.
Administrative and logistics coordination
- Take charge of administrative and logistical arrangements for regional meetings, trainings, webinars, workshops, and related events.
- Handle venue coordination, travel planning, documentation, and post-event follow-up.
Data collection and analysis support
- Help gather programme-related and outbreak-related data to support disease monitoring, reporting, and analysis.
- Assist in building and maintaining databases and preparing early-stage summaries for evidence-based planning.
Digital content and engagement
- Support the creation, curation, and scheduling of online content to improve outreach and visibility for the Centre.
- Make sure digital materials are accurate, relevant, and aligned with the Centre’s objectives.
Communications and design
- Assist in producing newsletters, reports, event materials, and other communications assets.
- Coordinate the printing, production, and distribution of both physical and digital materials.
- Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all outputs.
Volunteer management
- Mobilise volunteers to support event planning and execution.
- Engage and develop volunteers so they can contribute actively to the Centre’s work.
Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Public Health, Communications, Social Sciences, or another relevant discipline is required.
- Strong organisational ability, communication skills, and design sense are important for this role.
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a busy environment is necessary.
- Experience with basic data collection or analysis tools is an added advantage.
- A genuine interest in public health or humanitarian work is preferred.
- Background or experience in graphic design or digital content management is preferred.
