Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a Program Manager to lead Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives within our Data Center operations. This role involves managing complex, cross-functional projects to ensure compliance with EHS standards, improving operational efficiency, and mitigating risks. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Malay and English to effectively collaborate with contractors and stakeholders in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee EHS programs and projects aimed at enhancing business operations and technical processes.
- Plan and coordinate program activities and identify relevant stakeholders to drive improvements across operational, technical, and business aspects.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements set by Authorities Having Jurisdiction, including maintaining necessary permits and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to EHS.
- Manage the execution of EHS compliance tasks on site, including organization of meetings, preparing reports, and developing site plans to assess operational risks.
- Analyze incident data and track corrective and preventive actions through resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least two years experience in program or project management.
- A minimum of two years managing environmental health and safety programs.
- Familiarity with environmental and safety regulatory compliance.
- Fluent communication skills in both English and Malay to liaise effectively with contractors and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from recognized bodies such as the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, NEBOSH, or similar organizations.
- Experience developing and implementing systems for managing operational EHS risks.
- Background in data center operations or electrical safety.
- Experience engaging with federal, state, and local authorities on EHS-related matters.
- Ability to advise, coach, and influence teams to achieve outstanding EHS results.
- Strong collaboration, project management, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
