Role Summary
This role involves applying professional and research expertise to conduct data-driven analyses and moderate complexity projects addressing diverse policy, research, and procedural challenges. The associate is responsible for thorough data gathering, evaluation of alternatives, and formulation of well-founded recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical studies by applying research concepts to data and system evaluations tied to projects, policies, or organizational functions.
- Prepare, revise, and edit program-related documents including reports, presentations, and proposals.
- Develop and manage program evaluation processes, synthesize findings into comprehensive reports.
- Collect and analyze application and interview data to share with funding entities.
- Create interview materials coordinating efforts among multiple external stakeholders.
- Coordinate expenditures for in-person meetings liaising with venues and other vendors.
- Compile information for program decision-making and meetings for internal and external participants.
- Assist in planning and organizing in-person meetings and events, including researching venues, negotiating contracts, managing catering and technology needs, and resolving logistical issues.
- Evaluate event quality and refine planning strategies and timelines for future improvements.
- Handle financial tasks such as reimbursements, purchase requests, contracts, and consultant agreements.
- Collaborate to develop agendas and produce high-quality meeting materials involving multiple stakeholders.
- Manage scheduling protocols, provide technical support at events, conduct meeting evaluations, and share findings with team members.
- Oversee timing and completion tracking for various work components ensuring deadlines are met.
- Manage honoraria and payment distributions.
- Coordinate program aspects in partnership with colleagues across application, interview, seminar, and evaluation processes.
- Support programmatic activities such as progress reporting, document preparation, and offering program-related guidance.
- Respond judiciously and confidentially to inquiries, communicating complex information effectively in writing or verbally.
- Attend offsite meetings and travel as required, including occasional weekdays and weekends up to 25 days annually.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least three years of relevant experience or an equivalent background.
- Minimum one year of professional experience using survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics) and tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Zoom.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills paired with interpersonal effectiveness.
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality while employing sound judgment in addressing issues.
- Creative and independent thinker with analytical capabilities.
- Skilled at multitasking under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated expertise in meeting planning and event coordination.
- Willingness and ability to travel for meetings as specified.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with diverse managers.
- Interest in healthcare, public health, or related policy sectors.
- Familiarity with vendor procurement and vendor relationship management.
- At least two years performing similar professional duties.
