Job description

Role Overview

This position involves hands-on responsibilities centered around education, stakeholder engagement, and commercial support within the optometry field in Singapore.

Educational Program Management

  • Develop and conduct compelling educational workshops, seminars, and training sessions targeted at eye care practitioners (ECPs) throughout Singapore.
  • Coordinate and deliver educational content periodically in various formats and settings, accommodating internal teams and external professionals before or after retail and office hours.
  • Create and refine training materials, modules, case studies, and toolkits that support product and program knowledge.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and initiate follow-up measures to reinforce learning outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Partner with professional organizations, industry associations, and collaborators to boost brand recognition and credibility.
  • Offer ongoing support and expert advice to eye care professionals, including assisting in troubleshooting product-related issues.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with both external eye care practitioners and internal company stakeholders.

Commercial Support Functions

  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in the optical industry, including competitor activity, and create competitive analysis to effectively navigate challenges.
  • Assist with product launches, marketing campaigns, and special events in collaboration with the marketing department.
  • Engage in other cross-departmental initiatives as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Optometry is required; experienced Opticians will also be considered.
  • Experience in a retail optical environment is preferred.
  • Strong interest in ophthalmic lens technology and a passion for the optometry sector.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging varying audiences effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
