Job description

Role Overview

UniFirst is looking for a dependable and diligent Production Team Partner to join the Pre-Tunnel Inspection Department as part of our group focused on quality control. Your primary duties will involve inspecting garments and processing them through the steam tunnel to ensure they meet our strict quality criteria. This is a full-time onsite role with a standard 5-day work schedule, offering weekends off. Immediate openings are available with comprehensive on-the-job training provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counting garments accurately
  • Hanging garments for processing through the steam tunnel
  • Performing visual inspection for defects such as tears, holes, stains, or damage
  • Carrying out the UniFirst 20-point uniform inspection process to ensure quality standards
  • Adhering to safety policies as well as HACCP and medical guidelines
  • Assisting with any additional tasks as directed by supervisors or management

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Preferably a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Capability to stand through an 8-hour shift
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with management
  • Basic math skills including understanding of standard American measurements such as weight, volume, and distance
  • Ability to lift weights up to 10 lbs and push items up to 25 lbs
