Production Operator (FTC)

Role overview

This fixed-term production operative position is based at Tirlán’s UHT facility in Lough Egish, Castleblayney, County Monaghan. The assignment runs for 12 months and sits within a busy food production environment. The successful candidate will support a range of manufacturing activities, build capability across specialised production stages, and work a three-shift pattern over five days, with weekend work required from time to time. Reporting line is to the Production Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out and oversee process-related checks and tasks promptly and accurately so that product standards are consistently achieved.
• Escalate any process variation or product non-conformance to management without delay.
• Perform cleaning-in-place (CIP) and sterilisation activities on primary process equipment, pipelines and tanks in an efficient and compliant way.
• Keep work areas and equipment in a clean, hygienic, high-quality and safe condition at all times.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in food or dairy processing, or in a pharmaceutical setting, including hands-on operation of plant and machinery.
• Working knowledge of food safety, hygiene and quality expectations.
• A positive, solution-focused mindset with strong attention to results and product quality.

Additional information

This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract and is based onsite in County Monaghan, Ireland. The role involves shift work and may include occasional weekend duties. Applicants are expected to submit an up-to-date CV.
