Production Operator - Afternoon Shift

PepsiCo’s Obela business in Australia is looking for a Production Operator to join the packaging team at its Cavan site in South Australia. Obela is part of PepsiCo ANZ and focuses on reimagining everyday food through fresh dips and spreads, guided by a mission to unite and delight people with planet-positive food.

Role details

• Work location: Cavan, South Australia
• Employment: Full-time, permanent
• Shift schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

What you will do

• Run machinery, equipment, and production processes safely and efficiently
• Spot workplace hazards and coordinate with the Team Leader to address them
• Follow all quality, GMP, hygiene, and food safety rules, standards, and procedures
• Accurately complete production, quality, and safety documentation
• Carry out preventive and general maintenance tasks on food production equipment
• Work collaboratively within a team and take part in job rotation activities

What you should bring

• Prior experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is preferred
• Hands-on background in operating, cleaning, changing over, and maintaining equipment is desirable
• Good mechanical understanding and practical mechanical aptitude
• Forklift licence is preferred, though not mandatory
• Experience using a walkie stacker
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
