Production Manager – Joinery & Interior Fit-Out

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Production Manager to lead the operations of a joinery and interior fit-out manufacturing unit. This individual will be responsible for meeting production goals, ensuring quality and safety standards, and adhering to project schedules efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all factory activities related to joinery and interior fit-out works.
• Align production schedules with project milestones and site demands.
• Oversee daily production processes such as carpentry, veneer finishing, painting, polishing, CNC machine operations, assembly, and packaging.
• Enhance productivity while reducing material wastage.
• Manage smooth workflow across cutting, machining, assembly, finishing, and dispatch stages.
• Liaise with project managers to prioritize deliveries and installation timelines.
• Lead and manage supervisory staff, machine operators, carpenters, painters, polishers, and general workers.
• Effectively allocate manpower based on workload and production needs.
• Conduct performance appraisals and deliver training to boost skills and productivity.
• Uphold discipline and ensure adherence to company rules and procedures.
• Implement stringent quality control measures to comply with approved shop drawings, specifications, and client expectations.
• Maintain superior finishing standards in veneer, laminate, paint, polish, and upholstery work while minimizing rework.
• Coordinate material procurement and stock control to guarantee availability of essential items such as MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, hardware, paints, accessories, and consumables.
• Monitor inventory levels and control consumption to reduce waste.
• Verify material requests and oversee stock movements.
• Maintain machinery including CNC machines, edge banders, panel saws, spray booths, compressors, and other woodworking tools through scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Ensure machinery safety regulations are consistently met.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards; conduct safety briefings and enforce use of PPE.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and excellent housekeeping practices.
• Collaborate with design, estimation, procurement, and site execution teams.
• Participate in production and project meetings to facilitate communication and problem-solving.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production and operational reports.
• Report any production delays, issues, or operational concerns promptly to management.

Additional Information
