Job description

Position Overview

Join Teton Outfitters as the Production and Supply Chain Manager, where you'll oversee demand and supply planning, worldwide sourcing, production, compliance, and quality control for both hard and soft-line products produced internationally. You will implement a robust sales and operations planning (S&OP) process, enhance supplier capabilities, and leverage data to align inventory and production with business needs. Leading a diverse team across on-site, remote, and international locations, you will collaborate with Product, Development, Finance, Logistics, Distribution, and Sales teams. This is a prime opportunity to establish and refine supply chain processes, boost product availability, and contribute to shaping a growing team’s structure and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the S&OP process to synchronize demand forecasting, supply planning, production capacity, inventory policy, and business objectives.
  • Develop and lead global sourcing and production strategies to enhance supplier performance, product availability, cost efficiency, lead times, and production output.
  • Manage and cultivate a team composed of on-site, remote, and international staff and contractors across supply planning, sourcing, production, quality, and compliance functions.
  • Utilize tools such as NetSuite and business intelligence dashboards to analyze supply chain data, inventory, spending, pricing, and performance metrics; use these insights to optimize service levels and safety stock requirements.
  • Establish key performance indicators and scorecards to monitor supplier service and quality; enforce accountability and address risks related to delivery and production capacity.
  • Negotiate vendor pricing, delivery schedules, contract terms, and service standards while maintaining product quality and consistent supply.
  • Oversee the implementation and upkeep of quality management systems, training programs, documentation, reporting, and vendor social compliance initiatives.
  • Assess product specifications, material tolerances, and customer feedback to identify quality trends and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Logistics, Distribution, and Sales teams to enhance planning, product development, operational workflows, and overall performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies, root cause analysis, Kaizen, process documentation, and performance measurement.
  • Participate actively in the organization's future transition to the SAP ERP system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree mandatory.
  • Over 10 years’ experience in supply chain management within the apparel or consumer product sectors, including managing overseas contract manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience building and managing teams.
  • Proven track record of leading S&OP processes that balance demand forecasting, inventory investment, and supply capabilities to achieve service, revenue, and profitability goals.
  • Experience with global sourcing, vendor relationships, and contract manufacturing oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance and control in supplier or manufacturing settings.
  • Proficient at analyzing supply chain and inventory data using enterprise systems and BI tools, with NetSuite and SAP experience considered a plus.
  • Skilled in contract negotiation regarding supplier costs, timelines, delivery, and performance standards.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally, including internationally.
  • Full-time presence required in Rigby, Idaho with a hybrid work schedule (office days Tuesday through Thursday). Flexibility needed for urgent international time zone interactions. Relocation assistance is provided for candidates moving to the area.
  • Note: This role does not provide sponsorship.
