Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Vice President of IT/OT and Supply Chain, the Director of Global Supply Chain will oversee all facets of supply chain management, including procurement, vendor relations, supplier quality, supply planning, and inventory control. This leadership role is responsible for creating and executing sustainable supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, minimize risks, and meet financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all supply chain operations, spanning procurement, vendor management, supplier quality, planning, and procurement for new product development.
  • Develop and implement global category strategies for complex, high-spend commodities aimed at achieving cost-effectiveness, quality, innovation, capacity, and consistent supply.
  • Assist senior leadership in defining organizational objectives and strategic planning.
  • Drive the digital evolution of the supply chain using automation, analytics, AI, ERP system enhancement, and data-informed decisions.
  • Formulate functional strategies, budgets, policies, and procedures that align with Banner’s global supply chain objectives.
  • Serve as the strategic leader and governance authority for sourcing, planning, supplier quality, and inventory management globally.
  • Design and implement sourcing strategies delivering continuous productivity gains and aligning category strategies with business needs.
  • Monitor supplier and market trends through detailed analysis and reporting.
  • Manage supply continuity and implement active risk mitigation plans addressing geopolitical, tariff, natural disaster, supplier health, and business continuity risks.
  • Communicate commodity strategies consistently across the organization.
  • Ensure procurement compliance with all relevant laws and standard practices.
  • Evaluate suppliers to drive improvements in service, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Enhance supplier performance focusing on strategic partnerships to maintain quality and cost control.
  • Research and apply best practices from various industries to advance supply chain operations.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams addressing quality, pricing, inventory, and material availability.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, manage supplier selection, and oversee contract lifecycles.
  • Build and maintain executive relationships with strategic suppliers through business reviews focused on quality, innovation, capacity, delivery, and strategic alignment.
  • Support make-or-buy analyses and decisions.

Leadership & Supervision

  • Set clear performance expectations and conduct reviews for direct reports.
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies and deliver coaching or disciplinary measures as needed.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the supply chain team.
  • Foster team development via mentoring and coaching.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • At least 10 years of experience in supply chain roles within electronics or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven expertise in supplier management and strategic decision-making driving tangible results.
  • Recognized leader capable of influencing enterprise-wide business initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels and functions.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS and APICS certifications are advantageous.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to sit for up to 8 hours daily and work extensively on computers.
  • Frequent verbal communication required.
  • Work will be onsite in a manufacturing environment with occasional travel to other locations.
  • Office environment is climate-controlled while also involving exposure to manufacturing and warehousing settings.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary range between $146,829 and $212,616 annually, dependent on skills, experience, location, and qualifications.
