Job description

Role overview

This is a strategic leadership role for a Product Strategy & Operations Lead based in Canada, supporting a fast-scaling SaaS business. You will work closely with senior executives to turn long-term company priorities into well-run operating rhythms, aligned cross-functional execution, and measurable outcomes across product, engineering, and business teams. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing leadership, and creating the systems that help teams operate effectively at scale.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with executive leaders to set strategic focus areas, shape quarterly planning, and convert business objectives into practical product and engineering actions.
  • Run the operating rhythm for the product and engineering functions, including planning meetings, leadership reviews, KPI monitoring, retrospectives, and executive updates.
  • Create and refine execution systems that improve prioritization, dependency handling, risk awareness, and accountability across the organization.
  • Manage cross-functional programs involving product, engineering, go-to-market, customer success, sales, and marketing to support smooth delivery and successful launches.
  • Build board and executive presentations that turn complex information into concise, data-backed recommendations.
  • Develop and keep up-to-date dashboards, roadmaps, operating processes, and reporting tools that enable better decisions and ongoing improvement.
  • Promote a working culture centered on operational discipline, clarity, teamwork, and constant refinement.

Required background

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in strategy consulting, product operations, technical program management, business operations, or a similar strategic function.
  • Proven experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, fintech, or another technology-driven environment.
  • Solid knowledge of product development cycles, Agile ways of working, software engineering organizations, and go-to-market execution.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and executive presentation abilities, with the capacity to break down complex challenges into clear insights.
  • Hands-on experience building operating frameworks, planning routines, OKRs, KPI dashboards, and performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, align multiple teams, and drive delivery without relying on formal authority.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, or data platform initiatives is considered an advantage.
  • PMP, CSM, or similar project management certifications are a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving environment with a proactive, adaptable, and collaborative style.

Compensation and benefits

  • Annual base pay between CAD 128,000 and CAD 160,000, depending on experience.
  • Stock options that let you participate in the company’s long-term growth.
  • Fully remote-first setup with flexible working hours anywhere in Canada.
  • Paid time off designed to support work-life balance.
  • Full health, dental, vision, and wellness coverage, along with an Employee Assistance Program and wellness spending account.
  • Access to community initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and learning events.
  • An inclusive culture with active diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Clear career growth potential in a collaborative, people-focused organization that values innovation and continuous improvement.
