Product Owner (LMS-FinnOne)

Role overview

This position is centered on taking complete ownership of the FinnOne application, with a strong focus on production support, resolving incidents, and handling change requests. You will work closely with business, operations, IT, and outside vendors to keep the platform stable, compliant with regulations, and delivering enhancements on time.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day production support for the FinnOne system.
• Maintain strong availability, reliability, and performance of the application.
• Lead incident handling, root-cause analysis, and closure within agreed SLAs.
• Work with IT, infrastructure, and vendor teams to identify, triage, and fix issues.
• Track repeated problems and put corrective and preventive measures in place.
• Collect, assess, and rank business needs and change requests.
• Create functional specifications and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with vendors such as Nucleus Software on effort estimates and delivery schedules.
• Manage the full CR lifecycle from requirement gathering through UAT and production release.
• Support quality delivery by driving SIT/UAT and ensuring defect closure.
• Serve as the main contact point for business, operations, credit, and compliance stakeholders.
• Lead discussions to finalize requirements, set priorities, and shape solution design.
• Share regular progress updates with management on incidents, change requests, and releases.
• Plan and manage production deployments, release activities, and rollback approaches.
• Follow change-management controls and audit expectations during releases.
• Support UAT and obtain sign-off from business users.
• Ensure all application changes meet regulatory and audit expectations, including RBI and internal audit needs.
• Maintain complete documentation, audit trails, and approval records.
• Respond to audit observations and implement necessary system controls.
• Look for opportunities to automate processes and improve the system.
• Enhance efficiency, turnaround time, user experience, workflow performance, and data integrity.

Experience

Preferred experience is 8 to 12 years, ideally in BFSI or lending systems.

Required skills and competencies

• Deep familiarity with FinnOne, especially LOS/LMS, or comparable lending platforms.
• Hands-on experience in production support and incident management.
• Strong understanding of loan lifecycles, lending operations, and interest and penal charge calculations.
• Background in change-request handling and vendor coordination.
• Working knowledge of APIs, system interfaces, and data movement.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Good coordination and communication skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in the NBFC or banking domain.
• Exposure to compliance requirements and audit support.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum ways of working.
