Job description

Role overview

Driftrock is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to take ownership of the assets and enablement materials that support its commercial team in winning and retaining major automotive clients. This is the company’s first dedicated product marketing position, so the role will shape how the business presents its value in the market and equips sales with the right tools.

Key details

  • Team: Commercial
  • Reports to: Matt Baldwin, CEO
  • Working location: Fully remote, based in the UK or abroad, with a few hours of overlap with UK working hours each day
  • Employment type: Full-time, permanent
  • Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 plus share options
  • Start: As soon as the right candidate is found

Why this position exists

Driftrock already has strong positioning, a distinctive product story, and growing proof of impact, but it does not yet have someone dedicated to turning those strengths into go-to-market assets. As the EV shift accelerates, the company expands into new markets, and the need to prove marketing ROI increases, the sales conversation has become more complex. The business needs better materials to support those conversations and help the team close deals.

In this role, you will build and own the go-to-market asset library from day one. That includes the decks, one-pagers, battlecards, and launch materials that help prospects understand Driftrock’s differentiation and give the commercial team confidence in every conversation.

What you will own

The complete go-to-market asset library used by the commercial team to support and win deals.

First 90 days

  • By day 30: review the current sales materials, work closely with the commercial team, and deliver an updated core sales deck.
  • By day 60: complete the core GTM library, with product one-pagers, competitive battlecards, and objection-handling frameworks actively in use by sales.
  • By day 90: manage the first product launch end-to-end, finish the full sales enablement toolkit, and publish at least one customer case study.

Responsibilities

  • Create and keep up to date the core sales materials, including decks, product one-pagers, pitch narratives, and demo leave-behinds that reflect the current positioning and help the team sell effectively.
  • Lead sales enablement by building competitive battlecards, objection-handling frameworks, and conversation playbooks that help the team position Driftrock confidently in deals.
  • Own go-to-market planning for new product launches, including positioning, messaging, and launch assets so sales is ready before release.
  • Research customers and market trends, then turn those insights into stronger messaging and positioning across the buyer journey.
  • Work with Commercial and Customer Success to develop customer case studies that can be reused across sales, events, and digital channels.
  • Support the company’s thought leadership efforts with guides, articles, and insight-led content that strengthens brand authority in automotive marketing.

Requirements

  • A demonstrated record of building GTM assets such as sales decks, one-pagers, and battlecards that are actively used by sales teams to close deals in a B2B SaaS setting.
  • Strong writing ability, with the skill to turn complex technical products into clear, compelling narratives in both short-form and long-form formats.
  • Comfort working directly with sales and commercial teams, including asking the right questions and converting answers into effective materials.
  • Strong visual judgement and design awareness, with the ability to produce polished, professional, on-brand content.
  • Independent working style, with the ability to set priorities, operate autonomously, and deliver without constant oversight.

Bonus experience

  • Experience in automotive, mobility, or a related B2B sector.
  • Familiarity with positioning frameworks such as April Dunford’s Obviously Awesome.
  • Experience in a similarly sized scale-up, typically around 20 to 50 people.
  • Exposure to lead generation, marketing automation, or AdTech products.

Values and ways of working

  • We care: about customers, teammates, and the people reached by the marketing supported by the platform. Work is only done once it is proven useful.
  • Be that person: if something needs attention, take responsibility and solve it instead of waiting for someone else.
  • People-first: people come first, and security and privacy are never sacrificed for performance.
  • Be better today than you were yesterday: learning and continuous improvement are built into everyday work.

In practice, this includes weekly Monday Showcases, regular retrospectives, a budget for courses and conferences, Donut coffee pairings to stay connected, and an annual company Summit where the global team meets in person.

Compensation and benefits

  • Share options in Driftrock under founder-friendly, tax-efficient EMI terms, with the possibility of keeping vested options after leaving at board discretion.
  • Comprehensive Vitality cover, including medical, dental, vision, hearing, mental-health support, therapy, cancer cover, a free Headspace subscription, and Vitality rewards.
  • 24 to 28 days of holiday per year, based on 24 days plus one additional day each year up to a maximum of 28, in addition to bank holidays.
  • Pension contributions, life assurance at 3x salary, and income protection.
  • Electric car salary-sacrifice scheme through Octopus, offering savings of up to 40% and including insurance, servicing, and charging benefits.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • A learning budget for books, courses, and conferences, plus dedicated time for personal goals.
  • Perks and discounts through CharlieHR, plus access to a BMW Group employee discount programme.

International hiring

Driftrock hires globally on a remote-first basis. Benefits may be delivered differently outside the UK, but the company aims to provide equivalent value wherever team members are based. International employees typically receive a health plan, pension contributions, paid time off including local bank holidays, share options, enhanced parental leave, a learning budget, and the same flexible working culture. International team members are employed compliantly through an Employer of Record service.

Hiring process

  • An introductory call to cover the basics in both directions.
  • A discussion with the hiring manager about your background and approach.
  • A practical task or working session based on real business challenges, with no unpaid speculative work.
  • A final conversation with the team, including time for your questions.

The company says it will keep candidates informed about progress at every stage and welcomes questions throughout the process.

Inclusion and privacy

Driftrock is an equal-opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. Hiring decisions are not based on age, disability, gender, gender identity, marital status, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. Candidates who need adjustments to the application or interview process are encouraged to request support.

When you apply, Driftrock may store your data in its secure applicant tracking system and contact you about relevant opportunities. Your data will be used only for recruitment purposes and retained until the role is filled, after which it will be deleted or, with your permission, kept for similar future roles for up to 12 months.
