Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is being shared for a partner organization that handles the application process and all subsequent hiring steps. The employer is seeking a Product Marketing Manager located in Canada.

The position is centered on highly technical software products and sits at the junction of product, engineering, design, and go-to-market execution. Your main focus will be to turn sophisticated product capabilities into clear market narratives, persuasive messaging, and launch plans that strengthen adoption and user engagement. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to make sure every release is communicated consistently across customer-facing channels. A key part of the role is owning the story behind new features and broader product evolution, from in-app copy to campaigns and enablement content. The environment is dynamic, collaborative, and product-led, with a strong focus on precision, clarity, and thoughtful execution. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving and simplifying complexity for customers. It also offers meaningful influence over how the product is perceived and adopted in the market.

Core accountabilities

  • Lead positioning, messaging, and launch planning for important product releases and strategic initiatives.
  • Work in close partnership with Product, Engineering, and Design to shape how new and existing features are communicated across all customer touchpoints.
  • Prepare and manage launch deliverables such as release notes, demos, emails, social posts, and internal enablement resources.
  • Provide Sales, Customer Experience, and support teams with the context and materials they need to communicate confidently with customers.
  • Convert technical product details into messaging that is clear, engaging, and differentiated.
  • Use customer feedback and market insight to inform product narratives and go-to-market direction.
  • Keep messaging aligned across product experiences and external marketing channels.
  • Help improve go-to-market processes and the workflows used to communicate product updates.

What the company is looking for

  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to break down complex ideas into simple language.
  • Proven background in product marketing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Ability to craft messaging based on customer needs, product reality, and competitive differentiation.
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Design teams.
  • Strong project management ability, including careful attention to detail and comfort handling multiple priorities at once.
  • Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving setting.
  • Solid analytical ability and product instincts, along with willingness to dig into technical details.
  • Confident cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with SaaS or developer-facing products is a strong plus.

Benefits and work environment

  • Competitive compensation with equity participation.
  • Employee-friendly equity terms, including early exercise options where applicable.
  • Five weeks of paid vacation in addition to statutory holidays.
  • Four months of paid parental leave.
  • Monthly allowance for meals and coffee.
  • Remote-first setup with flexibility across Canada and North America.
  • Support for co-working space access or home office setup.
  • Regular team offsites and in-person meetups.
  • Extra paid extended leave after long service milestones.
  • Health coverage based on regional requirements.
  • A culture that values quality, craftsmanship, and autonomy.
