About the Role
We are collaborating with a prominent digital consultancy to recruit a Product Manager (SFIA Level 4) for a crucial UK government programme focused on Health and Disability digital transformation. This initial contract role begins immediately with strong prospects for extension. The programme supports a live cloud platform hosted on AWS and Azure, serving millions of citizens by alleviating infrastructure responsibilities from Health and Disability delivery teams, allowing them to concentrate on core objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and prioritize multiple technical product backlogs driven by user needs, value, and effort considerations.
- Develop and share product roadmaps with diverse stakeholders.
- Define and hone the product vision in a complex technical environment.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, data, and delivery teams to propel value-focused delivery through discovery, framing, and iterative test-and-learn cycles.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across different departments and functional areas.
- Effectively translate complicated technical topics into clear, understandable communication for non-technical audiences.
- Operate independently under the guidance of a Lead Product Manager.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in product management of technology or data-centric products.
- Strong proficiency with agile delivery methodologies and a product-oriented mindset.
- Experience handling and prioritizing technical backlogs within multifaceted settings.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of justifying decisions to senior-level stakeholders.
- Certification or equivalency of SFIA Level 4 in Product Management.
- BPSS security clearance or eligibility to acquire it.
Additional Details
- Work arrangements: Hybrid model across Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, and London.
- Compensation: Up to £400 per day; inside IR35 status applies.
- Start date: Immediate.
