Product Manager, Search AI Evaluation

Role overview

TikTok’s AI Search team is looking for a detail-oriented Product Manager to help shape how the company measures and improves its AI-powered search experience. The role sits at the center of the evaluation process and works closely with algorithm, product, and operations partners to make sure assessment results are objective, practical, and aligned with business needs.

What you will do

• Build and evolve the evaluation framework for TikTok’s AI search product, using user research and data insights to understand customer needs, define quality targets, and identify the most important experience gaps.
• Own cross-team execution for evaluation programs, coordinating with algorithm, business product, and evaluation operations teams so that results accurately represent real user experience and lead to clear business direction.
• Help create and improve the knowledge base for AI search evaluation, refine tools and workflows, and look for ways to use large language models to make evaluation work faster and more effective.

What the role requires

• A bachelor’s degree or higher, plus a strong interest in large language models and search products; relevant prior experience is beneficial.
• Good project management fundamentals, with the ability to communicate clearly, keep processes moving, and reliably deliver against goals.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, with a high sense of ownership and self-motivation.
• A willingness to learn quickly, take on demanding work, and grow in the AI product space.

Compensation and benefits

The annual base pay for this role in the selected city ranges from 151200 to 311600. Actual compensation can differ based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. The position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits can vary by employment type and work country, but may include medical, dental, and vision coverage from day one, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays each year, 10 paid sick days each year, and 17 paid personal time days, prorated on hire and increasing with tenure.
