Job description
About Snap
Snap is a technology company focused on the camera as a tool to help people communicate, learn, and express themselves more naturally. Its products include Snapchat, a visual messaging app that connects friends, family, and communities, along with Specs Inc., Bitmoji, Saturn, and other digital offerings.
The product organization blends creativity, data-informed decision-making, and operational discipline to build engaging experiences for Snapchat’s global audience. Product Managers, Designers, and Strategists work together across areas such as Core Growth, Content, Bitmoji, Augmented Reality, AI, and Emerging Products to shape products that strengthen user connection and support platform growth.
Role Overview
Snap is hiring a Product Manager for the Saturn team. The team’s mission is to create the most powerful personal calendar and the most enjoyable way to share calendars with friends. The role is suited to someone who wants to use AI to reimagine a long-standing calendar problem and help scale an idea already used by millions into a product serving billions of users.
What You Will Do
- Set priorities, define roadmaps, and work closely with cross-functional partners to design and launch products that improve core Snapchat experiences such as Chat, Camera, Maps, and Content.
- Own a product area by developing a strong understanding of user needs and using data-backed insights to shape strategy and deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Handle projects with high ambiguity and complexity, turning them into important roadmap investments through thoughtful execution.
- Partner with Designers, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Researchers to create, refine, and ship products that delight Snapchat’s global user base.
- Build alignment across teams and influence stakeholders to support execution of key initiatives.
- Drive work across the full product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, specification writing, wireframing, experimentation, data analysis, and launch coordination with marketing and other teams.
- Continuously improve core Snapchat products so they stay relevant, useful, and enjoyable for a growing worldwide audience.
Skills and Capabilities
This role requires strong AI prototyping ability. You should be able to create end-to-end prototypes using your preferred AI tools, such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools, independently or with support from Figma designs. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and respectful environment, building strong relationships with engineers, data science partners, and other cross-functional teams. The role also calls for clear metric definition, experiment analysis, system-level thinking, strong interpersonal communication, solid organization, and product-focused quantitative analysis, including statistical analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- A BS/BA degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience building and shipping products at a technology company, or a Master’s degree plus 1+ year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle, including product definition, prioritization, and pre- and post-launch execution.
- Ability to build end-to-end prototypes using AI tools of your choice.
- Personal passion projects that you can showcase.
Work Environment
Snap follows a “default together” approach and expects team members to work in the office at least 4 days per week.
Equal Opportunity and Accommodation
Snap is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants without regard to protected characteristics under applicable federal, state, and local laws. The company also considers qualified applicants with criminal histories in line with applicable fair chance hiring laws. Candidates who need an accommodation because of a disability or special need are encouraged to share that information.
Benefits
Snap offers benefits designed to support employees and their families, including paid parental leave, comprehensive medical coverage, emotional and mental health support programs, and compensation packages that allow employees to participate in the company’s long-term success through equity.
