Job description

About the Team

This role sits within the Return & Refund product team and focuses on the eCommerce after-purchase journey. The position calls for someone who can build a strong understanding of how return and refund flows work end to end, then turn that understanding into practical product improvements for buyers, sellers, and internal operations.

You will help shape solutions that make the post-purchase experience smoother and fairer, including new after-sales capabilities for buyers and AI-supported tools that improve judgment quality and operational efficiency. The work has a direct influence on customer experience, seller experience, and the cost and speed of handling return and refund cases.

Role Overview

The product manager will partner with business teams and local markets to align priorities, uncover pain points, and define solutions that improve the return and refund journey. This includes analyzing the current experience, identifying gaps versus competitors, and building strategies that expand service coverage while improving automation and accuracy.

Key Focus Areas

  • Align product priorities with business goals and market needs.
  • Investigate buyer and seller pain points across the return and refund journey.
  • Design product strategies that improve usability and overall satisfaction.
  • Strengthen auto-judging capabilities and decision accuracy.
  • Reduce turnaround time for return and refund resolution.
  • Lower dispute and compensation costs while improving sentiment on both sides of the marketplace.
  • Build tools and workflows that support local operational teams, especially around judging and policy configuration.
  • Explore AI-based approaches to make return and refund processes more effective.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with preference for backgrounds such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related field. Prior experience of 1 to 3 years in eCommerce or product management would be an advantage.

Strong analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and a data-led approach to decision making are important. The role also requires comfort working with regional and local stakeholders, clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Regular use of AI tools is expected for this position.

Work Scope

You will own the full product development cycle and collaborate closely with designers, analysts, engineers, and data scientists to deliver solutions with strong business impact. A significant part of the job involves understanding operational workflows deeply enough to support both policy design and day-to-day execution across regional and local teams.
