As a privately held firm recognized for its innovation and strong corporate culture, PointClickCare commits significant revenue to research and development, continuously advancing healthcare through AI-enabled solutions.
The Product Manager role centers on managing products related to orders within senior care settings. The position balances strategic planning and tactical execution to drive growth, modernize legacy systems, and improve customer experience via intelligent automation.
Work Environment and Location
This is a 12-month contract position based in Canada with a hybrid work model in Mississauga, ON, or remote with periodic required travel to Mississauga or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding, team events, and seasonal meetings. Hybrid employees must reside within commuting distance to facilitate regular office participation with their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute product strategies and roadmaps for order management products, ensuring they align with customer demands, market trends, and organizational priorities.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from discovery to launch, continuous adoption, and enhancement.
- Base product choices on customer research, analytics, regulation, and business benefit rather than simple feature requests.
- Function as the subject matter expert for assigned product domains, gaining deep insight into customer workflows and product benefits.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success to translate needs into effective solutions.
- Maintain prioritized backlogs and act as the customer's voice for scrum teams.
- Conduct data-driven evaluation of investment proposals and provide clear leadership recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance products with AI, automation, and intelligent workflow improvements.
- Navigate healthcare, clinical, and regulatory complexities to guide product prioritization and decisions.
- Ensure product plans align with company-wide strategies and long-term growth goals.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Over three years of product management experience, including full software product lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT, clinical workflow processes, pharmacy, or regulatory systems.
- Capacity to influence and coordinate teams without direct authority.
- Familiarity with technical concepts like APIs, integrations, modern software development, and platform approaches.
- Clear communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience developing or integrating AI and machine learning powered features.
- Proven experience modernizing and revitalizing legacy products.
Compensation
The salary range for this role in Canada is between CAD 109,400 and 121,500 annually. Actual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and location.
