Job description
About MoneySmart
MoneySmart stands out as Southeast Asia's foremost personal finance platform, serving consumers in Singapore and Hong Kong. We assist customers in selecting suitable financial products including credit cards, loans, insurance policies, mortgages, savings, and investment options. Our ambition is evolving from a comparison platform to a truly personalized financial companion, with marketing as the critical driver.
Role Overview
This role focuses on transforming complex financial decision-making journeys—often burdened with lengthy forms and confusing jargon—into seamless, user-friendly experiences using AI-powered rapid prototyping. The successful candidate will independently identify and define fuzzy problems from one-line problem statements, rapidly create prototypes with AI tools, test with real users, iterate smartly, and ship production-ready solutions. This requires sound judgment on what to build and a refined sense of user experience quality.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, advisors, and internal stakeholders to uncover pain points in user journeys and translate these insights into concise problem statements.
- Independently develop working prototypes without relying on a formal engineering pipeline.
- Deliver production code leveraging AI agents and maintain workflows via GitHub.
- Make critical UX decisions including copywriting, setting defaults, streamlining steps, and prioritizing essential features.
- Establish success metrics and evaluation dates upfront; use results to guide further investment or termination.
- Deploy features rapidly to real users, gather evidence, and iteratively improve or evolve new products and experiences on MoneySmart.
- Collaborate within a small, agile team alongside an engineering partner.
Key Requirements
- Ability to rapidly build and ship products with strong judgment on what truly matters; balancing speed with quality is essential.
- Experience deploying code into production through AI agents, proficient with GitHub workflows independently.
- A refined sense of consumer product quality, especially identifying better UX flows in financial contexts to reduce user drop-off.
- Problem-centric approach prioritizing validation of highest-risk assumptions before refinement.
- Comfort working with ambiguous, vague briefs and translating them into concrete deliverables without waiting for detailed specifications.
MoneySmart Cultural Values
- Collaborate as a winning team.
- Deliver solutions centered on customer needs.
- Foster a mindset of continuous personal growth.
- Take ownership and responsibility for outcomes.
- Challenge conventional thinking and focus on delivering results.
Equal Opportunity
MoneySmart Group embraces diversity and is an equal opportunity employer. Applicants are encouraged to provide concise and relevant information to ensure an unbiased interview process.
