About the Role

Bud Limited is seeking a Product Designer to expand their Product Department’s design capacity. This hands-on role involves collaborating closely with the Senior Product Designer and reporting to the Head of Product. The successful candidate will take charge of design work in specific product areas, supporting the introduction of new features and enhancements to Bud's growing SaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design user interfaces and flows using Figma, creating wireframes, prototypes, and developer-ready UI for assigned features.
  • Own UX and UI decisions within designated product areas with guidance from senior design leadership.
  • Ensure designs comply with Bud’s accessibility standards aligned with WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines.
  • Contribute to and advocate improvements for Bud’s design system and component libraries.
  • Collaborate effectively with Product Owners and Developers to understand requirements and contribute to high-quality product delivery.
  • Incorporate user research, data analysis, and feedback into design iterations post-launch.
  • Actively take part in design critiques, sharing work openly and accepting feedback constructively.
  • Adhere to UX processes and standards established within the wider Product team.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned consistent with the role’s purpose and organizational needs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience designing UX and UI for web-based SaaS or platform products.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including component-based design and creating interactive prototypes.
  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles with willingness to deepen practical knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
  • Ability to transform clear requirements into intuitive, user-focused designs.
  • A portfolio showcasing strong UX reasoning and visual design skills across product work.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale and incorporate feedback.
  • A cooperative and proactive approach with eagerness to learn and advance within the position.

Team and Culture

The role is part of Bud’s Product Department, collaborating daily with senior designers, product owners, developers, QA, customer success, and sales teams. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will receive ongoing support and mentorship as the company scales. Work Environment

Bud operates a hybrid working model balancing remote and office-based work from their main Bristol office. The workweek is 37.5 hours, full-time permanent.
