Where you'll work
Job description
Role Overview
Quickli is hiring a mid-level Product Designer for its Bondi Junction, New South Wales office. This position focuses on shaping SaaS product experiences through early concept exploration, rapid prototyping, and hands-on design refinement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with the founders at the concept stage to think through open-ended problems and surface multiple possible directions before any solution is locked in.
- Elevate the quality of the product once the structure and user flow are in place by improving visual polish, consistency, spacing, and finer interface details.
- Work with AI-enabled prototyping and coding tools such as Claude Code and Base44 to validate ideas in code, not only in design mockups.
- Share rough prototypes early so the team can move quickly, learn fast, and refine ideas through collaboration rather than big reveal handoffs.
- Collaborate closely with engineers during build cycles to maintain a strong user experience and high visual standards.
- Continuously identify gaps, fix inconsistencies, improve existing production screens, and grow the design system over time.
- Stay engaged with the live product experience after launch, ensuring design quality continues beyond shipping.
Requirements
- Background in product design or UX design with experience delivering SaaS products that users value.
- A strong design sensibility, attention to detail, and the ability to explain design choices clearly.
- Practical experience using vibe-coding or AI-assisted prototyping tools.
- Comfort with rapid iteration, early feedback, and disposable prototypes.
- Confident, high-standard thinking that allows you to question unclear flows and keep contributing even when the team chooses a different path.
- You do not need prior experience in mortgages or finance.
- The team emphasizes ongoing learning and will support your development as you grow into the role.
- Applicants are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every requirement listed.
- Additional nice-to-have experience includes work in startups or scaleups, building design systems, B2B or SaaS product design, and familiarity with React, Tailwind, or similar modern frontend frameworks.
