About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Product Compliance Manager to spearhead compliance strategies and regulatory governance across our organization. The role entails overseeing product compliance throughout the entire lifecycle, ensuring adherence to global regulations and industry standards, mitigating compliance risks, and facilitating successful product launches worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and enforce product compliance strategies, governance models, policies, standards, and procedures aligned with company goals and industry regulations.
- Lead compliance programs involving design, manufacturing, labeling, packaging, product safety, environmental compliance, import/export laws, certifications, and post-market monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, R&D, quality assurance, manufacturing, supply chain, legal, procurement, marketing, customer support, and leadership to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Stay apprised of global regulatory mandates, standards, and certification requirements to ensure product compliance in all markets.
- Oversee product testing, certifications, conformity assessments, regulatory submissions, documentation, and external audits.
- Conduct risk evaluations, gap analyses, internal audits, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions to address compliance and operational risks.
- Monitor KPIs such as compliance status, certifications, audit outcomes, product quality, non-conformance trends, corrective action progress, launch readiness, and effectiveness of compliance measures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation including technical files, risk assessments, specifications, and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging automation, digital quality systems, AI-enabled regulatory intelligence, product lifecycle management (PLM), and data analytics.
- Manage relationships with regulators, certification bodies, testing labs, auditors, consultants, suppliers, and industry associations to support compliance and market entry.
- Utilize PLM, QMS, ERP, Regulatory Information Management platforms, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and analytics tools to track compliance and produce insights.
- Prepare compliance reports, executive dashboards, audit summaries, regulatory updates, certification reports, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
- Lead and mentor product compliance specialists and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of quality, integrity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous advancement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related disciplines preferred.
- Advanced degrees or professional certifications in Regulatory Affairs, Quality Management, ISO standards, Product Safety, Six Sigma or equivalents are beneficial.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, product safety, manufacturing compliance, or related roles.
- At least 2 years experience leading compliance programs, managing regulatory initiatives, product certifications, or quality management systems preferred.
- Strong knowledge of product compliance regulations, safety standards, ISO systems, quality assurance, risk management, labeling, environmental laws, and regulatory governance.
- Proficient with PLM systems, QMS platforms, ERP software, Regulatory Information Management tools, Microsoft Office, Power BI, compliance management and reporting software.
- Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks, sustainability compliance, ESG reporting, digital compliance tools, AI-powered regulatory intelligence, cybersecurity for connected products, and product lifecycle governance is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, project management, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder engagement, presentation, negotiation, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to independently manage enterprise-wide compliance balancing regulation, innovation, operational efficiency, quality standards, and business goals.
- Comfortable working remotely or in hybrid work models within the United Arab Emirates.
