Role Overview
The Producer will lead the creation, production, and delivery of integrated multimedia content aimed at supporting strategic communication and engagement initiatives across a varied portfolio of federal programs. The role requires guiding the entire lifecycle of multimedia projects, including videos, podcasts, webinars, live-streams, animations, and other digital experiences.
This hybrid position ideally suits candidates located within the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia) area.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end production of multimedia content including video, audio, podcasts, webinars, live streams, animations, and digital campaigns.
- Manage all aspects of production workflows from concept and editorial planning to pre-production, shooting, editing, distribution, and analysis.
- Develop production documentation such as creative briefs, scripts, storyboards, interview frameworks, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with diverse teams including communications, creative, account management, strategy, UX, and technical experts to create content aligned with campaign goals and target audiences.
- Coordinate internal teams, freelancers, vendors, production partners, presenters, and subject matter experts throughout the production lifecycle.
- Supervise filming, recording sessions, editing, sound mixing, captioning, accessibility remediation, and packaging of multimedia products to high quality standards.
- Handle production schedules, budgets, purchase orders, and resource allocation, proactively addressing risks and issues.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, editorial standards, accessibility requirements, platform specifications, and enterprise quality metrics.
- Create promotional materials such as highlight reels, social media snippets, audiograms, and short edits to enhance audience engagement.
- Maintain production records, asset archives, templates, and version control protocols.
- Monitor and analyze audience engagement and content performance to guide continuous improvement and future strategies.
- Support urgent content creation and executive communication projects while maintaining high creative and operational standards.
- Stay informed about new production technologies, AI creative tools, multimedia trends, storytelling methods, and evolving digital content formats.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
- Proven experience managing multimedia, video, audio, podcast, broadcast or integrated content production within communications, marketing, or agency settings.
- Deep understanding of full-spectrum production workflows for video, audio, live events, podcasts, animation, and digital media.
- Skillful in managing production timelines, budgets, vendors, freelancers, and cross-functional creative teams.
- Strong storytelling abilities including scriptwriting, editorial development, interviewing, and narrative construction.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools for content development, research, and workflow efficiency improvements.
- Interest and curiosity about emerging technologies and AI’s impact on multimedia production and communication.
- Excellent project management skills capable of handling several projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively across communication, account management, creative, strategy, UX, stakeholder, and technical teams.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Illustrator along with multimedia editing and production technologies.
- Knowledge of video and audio production, live streaming technologies, webinar platforms, and content publishing workflows.
- Experience managing review and approval cycles, quality assurance, and production governance.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering top-quality multimedia experiences.
- Experience supporting federal government or defense-related programs or mission-driven communications is advantageous.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance as required.
- Preferred educational background includes degrees or relevant experience in Film Production, Digital Media, Multimedia Production, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Audio Engineering, or Visual Communications.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.

- Must be a United States Citizen in compliance with government contract requirements.
- Must be eligible and willing to promptly obtain a U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance upon hire.
