Produce Stocker

Position summary

As a Produce Stocker with Walmart Canada, you’ll support the produce department by keeping it organized, well-stocked, and customer-ready while delivering strong service in line with Walmart’s core values. This role is a good fit for someone interested in retail or customer service and looking to build practical experience in a fast-paced store environment.

Key duties

• Keep the produce area neat, organized, and properly zoned.
• Rotate inventory and remove or flag expired items as needed.
• Make sure products are correctly labeled, signed, and priced.
• Follow cold-chain requirements, including thermometer calibration, temperature logs, food handling rules, stock rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiry dates.
• Apply safe food handling practices and maintain sanitation and cleaning standards.
• Carry out procedures related to ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, and shelf signage/labels/flags.
• Ensure the department remains fully stocked and ready for customers.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Restock merchandise, downstock when required, apply product protection when needed, and complete modular resets, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Compensation

The starting pay for this role is $17.20 per hour.

Minimum qualifications

Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
