Store Standards - Stockperson/Cartpusher

Role overview

As a Stockperson/Cartpusher, you’ll help keep the store running smoothly by collecting carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and the area around the store, then returning them to a secure storage spot. The role also supports customer service and helps maintain a safe, tidy shopping environment.

Key duties

• Gather shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and the store perimeter, then move them to the designated storage area using approved Walmart procedures and complete the required records.
• Respond quickly when registers need help, assist customers with carry-outs or carry-ins in a safe manner, and check receipts when proof of purchase is needed.
• Carry out occasional restroom cleaning and upkeep according to set procedures, including safe chemical handling, proper disposal practices, and pre-use inspection of power equipment.
• Follow safety and emergency rules, including requirements related to hazardous materials communication, lockout/tagout, and blood-borne pathogens.
• Keep the Cart Retrieval Log up to date at the Customer Service Desk.
• Help maintain a work area that is clean, safe, and free from hazards by following company policies and procedures.
• Use the required protective gear, including steel-toe footwear and a reflective vest when collecting carts for visibility.
• Perform safety sweeps when needed.

Pay

The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.75.

Minimum qualifications

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
