Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and clear zoning of the produce department to ensure readiness for customers at all times.
• Regularly rotate items and remove expired products to maintain freshness and quality standards.
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage on all produce, including proper handling of orders, clearances, markups, markdowns, labels, and signs.
• Adhere strictly to food safety and cold chain protocols, including temperature monitoring, sanitation, proper food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock products as necessary, protect products when required, and organize displays such as flex modulars and shelf caps to keep the department fully stocked.
• Follow all health and safety policies to maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Remain flexible and open to working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.

Challenges

• Manage high volumes of restocking and recovery efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Handle intensive physical tasks including prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain focus and energy during overnight shifts by planning accordingly.
• Perform repetitive tasks consistently and with attention to detail to meet store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage is $15.80.
