Role overview
Walmart Canada is hiring a Produce Stocker to support the store’s fresh produce department. This role is centered on delivering strong customer service, keeping the department organized and presentable, and supporting the stocking and sale of merchandise. It is a solid opportunity for someone interested in retail or customer-facing work.
Key duties
- Keep the produce area zoned and organized.
- Replenish inventory, rotate stock, and remove items that have passed their expiry dates.
- Make sure products are correctly labeled, signed, and priced.
- Follow cold-chain rules, including thermometer calibration, temperature logs, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiry controls.
- Carry out food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
- Complete ordering-related tasks and handle clearances, markups, markdowns, signage, flags, pricing, and labels according to procedure.
- Maintain full stock levels so the department is ready for customers and business operations.
- Observe all health and safety requirements.
- Stock merchandise, downstock when needed, apply product protection where required, and complete modular sets, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
Compensation
The starting hourly pay for this role is $18.05. The source also states the minimum hourly rate in French as 18.05.
