Food & Consumables Team Lead - Miramichi, NB

Position Overview

The Food & Consumables Team Lead plays a crucial role in supporting leadership within the Food and Consumables department. This position involves managing department activities, solving operational and customer service issues, and fostering associate development through guidance and training. Maintaining excellent customer service standards while ensuring all operational tasks are completed efficiently is a key responsibility.

Key Duties

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, assisting with product selection, handling inquiries, resolving concerns, and promoting products.
• Coordinate and oversee daily task completion under direction from the Food & Consumables Coach and Store Management, including delegating and monitoring Customer Availability procedures.
• Evaluate and maintain the visual presentation of the Food & Consumables sections, implementing merchandising adjustments as required.
• Facilitate effective team communication by leading daily team briefings, disseminating updates, setting objectives, and monitoring team productivity.
• Review and finalize work schedules in collaboration with the People Lead.
• Assign associates to various store areas to support task coverage and availability.
• Conduct area tours with the Coach and team members to identify training needs; actively develop associates through instruction and constructive feedback.
• Promote workplace safety and cleanliness by adhering to company policies, completing safety logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and clutter-free.
• Complete assigned administrative tasks through GTA/Workday systems and assist management as needed.
• Support performance management by partnering with the Coach/People Lead to engage in growth discussions and facilitate recruitment and hiring.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.15.
