Role Overview
The Procurement Specialist I will support ValCo’s procurement activities within Saudi Arabia, emphasizing data analysis, contract oversight, and vendor engagement to drive cost efficiency and strategic alignment. This role requires technical expertise with procurement analytics and systems, alongside bilingual communication skills in Arabic and English.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze procurement and supply chain data from diverse sources to detect trends and areas to enhance cost savings and operational processes.
- Create and maintain dashboards and modeling tools to monitor vendor performance, expenditures, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Validate data accuracy to maintain integrity and deliver actionable insights for procurement decision-making.
- Manage supplier communications to resolve shipment delays, quality issues, and contractual non-compliance.
- Source and assess new vendors, contributing to vendor selection and evaluation.
- Develop and sustain productive supplier partnerships by evaluating performance through KPIs and facilitating regular review meetings.
- Identify opportunities for cost reductions, negotiate terms including volume discounts, and ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
- Manage procurement contract documentation, track key dates, process amendments, and collaborate closely with legal teams to mitigate risks.
- Leverage advanced Excel capabilities to produce detailed procurement reports supporting forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviews.
- Conduct procurement transactions and records management using SAP, including RFQs, purchase requisitions, and troubleshooting system issues.
- Coordinate procurement efforts with logistics, finance, and legal to ensure smooth operations and compliance with budget and payment terms.
Qualifications and Skills
- Certification in procurement, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in lubricants, oil and gas, or logistics industries.
- Proficient with SAP procurement modules and advanced Excel techniques such as pivot tables and data visualization.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in Arabic and English communication.
- Excellent negotiation, organizational, and collaboration skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
