About the Role

An industry-leading organisation is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their high-achieving procurement team. This role focuses on managing procurement for major infrastructure projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement processes for major civil and electrical infrastructure projects from tendering to contract award stages.
  • Collaborate closely with bid and project teams to create commercially viable and achievable project solutions.
  • Work jointly with engineering, construction, transport, legal, and contract management teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Formulate sourcing strategies, project budgets, cost models, and perform commercial assessments.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals considering commercial, technical, and contractual criteria.
  • Manage supplier negotiations, finalize contracts, and oversee ongoing commercial relations.
  • Develop and nurture strategic supplier partnerships to guarantee capacity, capability, and value delivery.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Significant experience in procurement, commercial management, or project management within construction, infrastructure, energy, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated history of working on large infrastructure projects and managing high-value contracts.
  • Strong commercial insight with the ability to assess technical, commercial, and legal aspects of complex supplier submissions.
  • Experience navigating tendering processes and project delivery environments.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple functional teams including engineering, legal, construction, and contract management.
