Job description
Role overview
This is a full-time production position within a sterile pharmaceutical compounding environment at the Geebung site in Brisbane. The team prepares personalised medical products for hospital patients, supporting timely and high-quality patient care across Australia.
The organisation operates TGA-accredited sterile manufacturing facilities in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales. Its work includes producing items such as chemotherapy medicines, sterile antibiotics and nutrition products, all tailored to individual hospital orders.
Shift pattern
The role is available as a permanent full-time or contract opportunity, with shift options that include the morning shift from 5:30am to 1:30pm, or an afternoon/evening pattern from 2:00pm to 10:06pm Monday to Thursday and 1:00pm to 9:06pm on Friday.
Key duties
- Carry out decontamination of materials before production.
- Print labels and supporting batch paperwork.
- Prepare and mix products in a cleanroom setting.
- Inspect, package and label finished items.
- Complete all required records and documentation accurately.
What the employer is looking for
Formal qualifications are not essential. More important is a strong commitment to training, a careful and efficient working style, and a clear understanding of the importance of product quality.
This is a sterile compounding and production role, so it does not include research, microbiology work or product testing.
Ideal candidates will be detail-focused, organised in record keeping, proactive, enthusiastic, and able to communicate well in a busy team environment.
Pre-employment requirements
Before starting, successful candidates must complete and pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including a supervised drug test.
Equal opportunity and health requirements
The employer values diversity and aims to maintain an inclusive workplace. Depending on the role, candidates may also need to provide evidence related to vaccination against, or susceptibility to, specified vaccine-preventable diseases as part of health risk management.
Application notes
Applicants are asked to submit a resume and a cover letter explaining their interest in the position.
