Job description
Company Overview
AngloGold Ashanti is a globally recognised leader in gold production, running major mining operations across four continents. In Australia, we manage premier gold mines including Sunrise Dam and Tropicana (70% owned by AngloGold Ashanti). Our culture values inclusivity, safety, and authentic expression, fostering an environment where every employee is respected, supported, and empowered.
Role Overview
We are inviting applications for Process Technicians to join our teams at the Sunrise Dam and Tropicana Gold mines. These full-time, permanent positions follow an 8 days on/6 days off roster with fly-in fly-out (FIFO) arrangements. As a Process Technician, you will ensure that the gold processing plants operate optimally by maintaining consistent gold recovery, throughput, and resource management aligned with established procedures and your independent judgement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain efficient plant operations through close monitoring and analysis of processes such as sampling, inspections, and log management.
- Collaborate with metallurgical and maintenance teams to address safety, equipment performance, and technical challenges.
- Identify and report equipment faults and actively participate in repair and maintenance efforts.
- Contribute to the overall gold production process by managing throughput while prioritising safety and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working autonomously in a mineral processing plant within the gold mining industry. A strong mechanical aptitude and the possession of a current Western Australia C Class Driver’s License are essential. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions and managing the physical demands of the role. Effective communication skills and problem-solving abilities are important. Experience with Microsoft Office and SCADA systems will be advantageous.
Culture and Benefits
- Supportive and respectful workplace culture focused on inclusion and dignity.
- Competitive salary with regular reviews and an attractive annual bonus.
- Comprehensive private health insurance with family coverage fully paid.
- Flexible work policies and FIFO allowance.
- Generous paid parental leave: 26 weeks primary and 8 weeks secondary.
- Access to diverse training programs and education assistance.
- Active inclusion and belonging committees promoting workplace culture.
- Volunteering leave programs for community engagement.
- Salary sacrifice and novated lease options available.
