Job Overview
This role is responsible for managing the development and launch of Private Label (PL) and Directly Imported pharmaceutical brands in alignment with Nahdi's strategic objectives. The manager oversees the end-to-end new product development (NPD) and direct imports product lifecycle, ensuring targets for launches and key performance indicators are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and implementation of PL and Direct Imports launch initiatives to satisfy sales, profit, and business growth goals.
- Drive projects from initial concept through commercialization, coordinating cross-functionally and maintaining alignment with business strategy and timelines.
- Maintain and develop vendor relationships by engaging in sourcing, negotiating, selecting, and contract management aligned with company standards.
- Monitor initiative performance through regular tracking, reporting, and business reviews, identifying optimization opportunities.
- Source and evaluate new suppliers via global trade exhibitions, market research, audits, and strategic procurement actions.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Commercial, Marketing, Quality, and Regulatory units to ensure product lifecycle compliance.
- Design annual product development roadmaps based on market trends, competitive analysis, consumer insights, and category potential.
- Execute supplier selection processes including RFQs, tenders, bids evaluation, and onboarding preferred vendors.
- Lead contract negotiations and oversee supplier agreements lifecycle, ensuring governance adherence.
- Conduct thorough cost-benefit analyses pre- and post-launch to assess financial viability and market impact.
- Manage and mentor team members fostering a culture centered on performance and development.
Working Conditions
- Typical work environment is 80% indoors and 20% outdoors.
- Work schedule involves five working days per week with two days off.
- Work hours run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour break.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum seven years experience in FMCG retail, preferably with a background in private label or contract manufacturing product development.
- Experience in international business and overseas procurement is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in English and Arabic languages.
