About the Role
A prominent private equity firm specializing in healthcare investments seeks a Private Equity Associate to join their San Francisco team. The company has a proven history of investing successfully in middle-market healthcare businesses. This position offers exposure to ongoing transactions, portfolio company management, and collaboration with senior professionals in the investment sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze new investment opportunities across diverse healthcare subsegments.
- Develop and sustain complex financial models, valuation studies, and investment documentation.
- Perform comprehensive commercial, financial, and operational due diligence.
- Support transaction processes by coordinating with executive teams, lenders, and external consultants.
- Track performance of portfolio companies and assist with strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing value.
- Conduct industry and market research to pinpoint emerging investment prospects.
Qualifications
- Between one to four years of experience in investment banking or private equity involving substantial transaction exposure.
- Experience dealing with healthcare transactions is advantageous, though exceptional candidates with broad exposure will also be considered.
- Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation capabilities.
- Highly driven, meticulous, and capable of excelling in a fast-paced investment environment.
- A bachelor's degree with strong academic achievements.
