Private Equity Associate – Co-Investments & Private Markets

A long-established investment firm is seeking to add a Private Equity Associate to its investing team through a hiring partnership.

Role Overview

The position offers exposure to a wide-ranging private markets platform, including co-investments, fund commitments, portfolio oversight, and investment evaluation. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior investors to assess opportunities across several sectors and contribute throughout the investment process.

What You Will Do

• Review and assess private equity co-investment opportunities across multiple industries.
• Carry out financial modelling, valuation work, and due diligence for potential investments.
• Track and evaluate existing portfolio companies and fund investments.
• Draft investment memos and presentation materials for investment committee reviews.
• Research markets, industries, and companies to inform investment recommendations.
• Support portfolio reporting and ongoing analysis of investment performance.
• Partner with senior leaders on strategic initiatives tied to the investment program.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance is required.

Experience Needed

The role calls for 2–5 years of relevant experience in private equity, private markets, investment banking, or another investment-focused position.

Skills and Strengths

You should bring strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities, along with clear communication and presentation skills. Prior exposure to private equity transactions, fund investments, or co-investments would be an advantage.

Location Requirement

Candidates should be based in the New York area or able to commute to Long Island.

Compensation

The package includes a competitive base salary plus a performance bonus.
