Job description
Role overview
This position sits within Deutsche Bank’s Private Bank / Wealth Management business, part of a wider corporate structure that brings together private banking, commercial banking, international private banking and wealth management capabilities. The team supports wealthy individuals, entrepreneurs, family offices and foundations with tailored advice and a wide range of investment and banking solutions, including wealth planning across generations and geographies, asset management with risk controls, lending and deposits.
The function is growth-oriented and plays a part in building a more balanced, less capital-intensive and stable business model. It is designed to strengthen long-term client relationships through global reach, experience and collaboration across other bank divisions.
What the role involves
- Support the Team Head, Relationship Managers and Investment Managers with day-to-day client servicing and operational administration.
- Serve as the main coordination point for operational matters raised by Relationship Managers and clients, working with onshore and offshore stakeholders such as Cross Border, CLM and Business Management teams.
- Ensure requests are handled quickly and issues are resolved in line with client and RM needs.
Core responsibilities
- Respond to Relationship Manager and client questions relating to account documents, balances, maintenance actions, statements, and general product or service information.
- Join client meetings with the Relationship Manager when needed to help address client requirements.
- Support the new account opening journey by preparing complete account-opening packs for submission to the CLM team after client signature, including review and preparation of client-signed quality packs and booking centre documents.
- Coordinate with CLM, AFC, OBS and KYC Review teams to provide follow-up information or additional documentation when requested.
- Track and resolve booking centre or regulatory document gaps promptly so Relationship Managers can meet their KRIs.
- Make sure all account-related operational tasks are completed within required timelines to maintain service levels.
- Assist with entering call reports prepared by the Relationship Manager and maintain records in protected shared folders where applicable.
- Stay up to date on operational processes, services, and internal systems and applications.
- Build a strong understanding of the regulatory framework and apply relevant policies and procedures to reduce risk and protect the bank.
- Help Relationship Managers with post-sale client tasks and the coordination of marketing event invitations and approvals.
- Where needed, manage the daily dispatch of documentation to the relevant booking centres.
- Develop effective working relationships across coverage, product and infrastructure teams.
- Take part in AM group projects and meetings, and deliver regulatory or non-regulatory project work within agreed deadlines.
- Coordinate with IT to arrange video conference meetings and calls.
- Provide backup support when other support staff are absent to maintain business continuity.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification; a master’s degree is an advantage. At least five years of experience in wealth management, preferably in an assistant or sales support capacity, is required. Strong English communication is essential, and Arabic is an added advantage.
This role also calls for excellent time management, the ability to handle multiple tasks, strong interpersonal and consulting skills, teamwork in a global virtual and matrix environment, and a consistently client-focused approach.
